its been a busy and long weekend, esp the first week of august. i realised that there are 4major events [to me] happening every year at the period of time.
#1. fairfield's founders day
#2. festival of praise
#3. city harvest anniversary
#4. singapore's birthday
anyway i am only involved in the #2 and #3. haha* the others is because i am or was part of it. :) ask me if i miss secondary days, i sure do. but i am more excited for life straight ahead of me. life moves on, i just don't understand why people keep saying they miss secondary school days. to think of it, most of us already finished poly. duh! if you still miss secondary days, you are living in olden days in the modern world. grow up and catch up soon.

my first day at school. i meant teaching in my class on day 1. should i say i really thank God that i managed to know them a little since friday, such that i was able to manage my expectations for today's lesson and all. :) anyway i am really grateful. out of the 3 lessons i had with them today, thankfully i was able to conduct two. i practically used up one whole lesson trying to get everyone's attention and making sure no one is bullying one another. it was tought. i hate to raise my voice at them unless they force me to.
i am starting this whole career from nothing, no background, no actual training, no model to follow... but i am not going to give up. i'm sure there are greater things ahead prepared for me after i get over this stage. God, use me here to equipped and prepare me. :)
didn't manage to pay full attention during lecture in the afternoon. thankfully the notes given are easy to understand upon reading. miss loh was really understanding after finding out what happened in the morning. she shared with me her experiences and i felt that, 'hey i am not alone in this boat, though she already alighted from the boat'.

went to meet jeremy to somehow celebrate his 21st birthday. knowing him for so long, i think this is the first time celebrating for him. :) we went to yuki yaki for dinner. it's a japanese style of bbq buffet, with sushi, japanese kind of food. it was yummy especially when we could eat it hot from bbq metal plate as the bbq metal plate really could cook the meat really fast. :) i think i ate more than him, cos my hands can't stop putting food into my mouth. haha*
amazing factor about the place, after dinner... we were ready for our icecream buffet. the staff came to clean up our table and wash the hot plate in front of us. after a while, the metal plate starts to freeze up and we were ready to 'make' our ice cream. its super interesting as the ice cream was form by some liquid we take off the shelve. to make ice cream, pour ice cream liquid onto the metal plate, in a very short while, the liquid will start to harden up like ice cream. plus, note that this ice cream is eaten flat, cos the metal plate is flat too. duh! we tried many 'patterns ' to make our ice cream interesting. apparently only mine turned out well. haha*

my ice cream. :)we went to watch the lake house after dinner. it was a nice show. too much thoughts about the show for me to talk about tonight. anyhow, the greatest thing you can do for a person is to have the courage to wait, not knowing what to expect but to trust in the person's heart.
